The forex market is available 24/7 except on weekends. The 24/7 availability of the forex market due to the different trading times and sessions that we have which are:

1. Asian session session: Opens 11 PM to 8 AM
2. London session: Opens 8 AM to 5 PM
3. New York session: Opens 1 PM to 9 PM

   

The best time to trade forex during London-New York overlap, as this is the busiest time of the day. The more the number of traders the higher the volatility in the markets which in turns translate to higher profits. But of course you can trade during other times as well just that the London-New York is the busiest of the day.

The best time to trade forex is during the middle of the week(Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), since this is when the most action happens.
